Many of the traditional drivers for business success including the ways and means of competing are radically changing. The new climate for innovation promises to have a profound and lasting impact on organizational form and business management processes at a strategic, operational and inter-organizational level, not least, in the area of business planning activity. The one-day intensive workshop session explores through in depth case-illumination, the strategic and operative benefits of an integrated platform approach to business planning processes and practices. Delivery The workshop will be delivered with the help of in-depth case illustration in a lectures / presentations format. There will be intensive group work followed by group presentations & discussions. Who should attend ? Facilitator Peter McGrory is the Professor of Design Management & Leadership School of Design, University of Art & Design Helsinki TaiK. Along with his position as Professor of Design Management at the School of Design at the University of Art & Design Helsinki TaiK, and Director of the Finnish Design Management Institute, Professor McGrory's current research interests involve, amongst others, exploring the breadth and strategic potential of integrated platform strategies as a basis for gaining and sustaining competitive advantage in international markets. Markku Salimaki, is the Director of the International Design Business Management Program, Helsinki School of Economics HSE. Having graduated from the Helsinki University of Technology HUT (Industrial Management), Markku worked in different managerial positions in the Finnish Ceramic and Glass Industry. He commenced his doctoral studies at HSE in 1992, completed his Licentiate Degree in 1996, and Doctor of Science degree in 2003. Markku is Director of the Multi-Disciplinary IDBM Program. |
