Take a walk into the heart and soul of the real Pune. A journey into a land of myriad images, cultural ethos and different sounds, smell and texture. Walk, feel and experience. And take back part of the past, wherein lies your present 'Pune Walks' is an unique initiative by Sarvasva Designs in order to promote the awareness of the city's rich heritage and culture - not just for people who come from outside, but also for people who live in Pune but have taken their sights as part of the city's skyline. The attendees will learn about the art, history, culture and architecture of Pune. Who should attend Design professionals. Anybody and everybody interested in understanding and learning about the wonderful history, culture and architecture of Pune. This is a great tour for those interested in photography. Facilitators Darpana Athale, Director of Sarvasva Foundation will be conducting the walks. She has a background of architecture, product design, academics and photography and has been the main initiator and guide for 'Pune Walks' for almost 2 years now. She is also the Founding Member and Executive Board Member of Pune Design Foundation, and was the Chairperson of Pune Design Festival 2007. With a passion for design and architecture, Darpana has tried all facets of the field, ranging from ideation, design journalism and writing for magazines, newspapers and websites, brand building, event management and photography. This has led her to don varied roles, like being Director for Special Projects for a premier architecture magazine in India and Chief Jury for India's first architectural journalism Awards, to name a few. 'Pune Walks' is a social initiative taken up by Sarvasva Foundation for Sarvasva Designs Pvt Ltd, in order to promote awareness of Pune's rich history, culture and architecture.
