Pratima has interests in education, health, entrepreneurship and helps PMC as a citizen of Pune.

In the past she has worked in voluntary capacity as -

• The Chair person of the Information Technology Committee of Pune Vyaspeet
• The Build Operate and Transfer Committee of the Pune Municipal Corporation
• The Science and Technology Park to come out with a book documenting Research in and around Maharashtra funded by University Grants Commission

Currently :

• In the education area she serves as a Trustee on Pratham Pune whose agenda is every child in school and literate. Be it a street child or a child getting formal education.
• Trustee on the Symbiosis International School board.
• Trustee on Pune Police Public School. A partnership between the citizens of Pune and the police ,where the education of constables children is subsidized. 50% of the seats are for children of policeman and 50% come under open category. Last March the first batch of the school appeared for the 10th standard exams and got cent percent results.
• Trustee on Ashta No Kai a Japanese NGO which helps in the primary education for village children and Microfinance for women of the same village.
• President of Innovations Society that helps entrepreneurs showcase their technology to a group of investors who also offer mentorship and networking facilities. She has helped promote bio-technology in Pune by showcasing work done by scientists in different fields be it diagnostics, research, delivery system or molecules.
  She has organized tech showcases since 1999 in the field of -
• Information Technology,
• IT as a tool for manufacturing,
• Bio-technology,
• Education,
• Design ranging from- designing a business model- to a chip to architecture including in the field of social entrepreneurship which benefits the society.
