Himanshu studied computer science for 4 years in Delhi (NCR) and then worked in the IT industry on Web Platforms for a year.

Discontent drove to exploring childhood whim for arts and design. These meanderings led to studying design at NID for 3 years, thus completely un-structuring the regimented thought instilled by engineering education. Interned as a researcher of ‘futuristic dwelling scenarios’ at Honewell, Bangalore.

In 2006, his work was acknowledged by the jury of panel of Ars Electronica and Futurelab, foremost experts in mix-media exploration in the global new media domain.

Stint at the Futurelab broadened perspective towards a mix-media approach to solving problems to generate social and commercial worth. Thus in 2008, was born a firm called 'MediaShala' in Ahmedabad.
