The workshop would take the participants through a unique process of design, which is systematized, holistic, and result oriented. The new contexts developed during the initial stages of the workshop would study work and living environments and design and deliver products and services that make these environments work better.
Design is an inherent tools corporates / companies / individuals use today. A holistic view to the whole discipline is needed. The complexities of design are usually ignored which results in failure of design. The orchetrated process of design which the participants will be taken through would give a glimpse of how innovation can be a result of a planned and systematic methodology apart from a result of the process that they would take home. For this, a new context / contexts would be explored and furniture / equipment would be developed conceptually within this context making it reliable and powerful. Changing lifestyles and changing needs, changing technology and changing materials, sustainibility and innovation, all present design with a completely new environment / context to work within. The theme of the event 'Design Next' would be explored as a context resulting into actual innovation for the future. The participants would be taken through and example of viewing opportunities in a context and innovating on demand in a given framework.
