Launched in 1989, the studio has played a pivotal role in the growth of design in India. For over 18 years, Elephant has been providing integrated design solutions to clients in banking, information technologies, telecommunications, FMCG, automobile, pharmaceutical and infrastructure development. With the help of the industry, the studio has set up an executive 'Institute of Innovation' (Elephantversity)
Today Elephant is an associate of The Design Alliance, a groundbreaking network of leading Asian design companies from China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Laos, Lebanon, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. Recently Elephant and RKS Design (USA) have signed a strategic collaboration.
Sudhir's passion is to inspire organisations to innovate and transform using design processes. He believes that ideas, innovations and processes from emerging markets are the only future of sustainable growth for businesses around the world. He is the founder and moderator of 'Designindia' e-groups which, counting 2000 professional members across multiple domains, is the most active online as well as offline gathering of design professionals. Currently, Sudhir serves on the governing council of the Symbiosis Institute of Design and is a member of the National Design Committee of the Confederation of Indian Industries.
Sudhir has spoken at many national and international design and innovation seminars. Having published three books so far, he often appears in the media as a spokesperson for Indian design and was featured as a 'Young Turk' in CNBC's series on young achievers. He has been on the Automobile Awards Jury for five years now. He was also a Jury on the prestigious inaugural Cannes Design Lions this year.
