Nishma leads Ticket Design a design and innovation company based in Pune. She has created several award winning products at Ticket with her sharp design acumen and user centered design thinking. Ticket Design won Silver at US Appliance Design Award in 2007, and Businessworld NID awards for 2006, 2008.
An alumnus of National Institute of design, Ahmedabad, Nishma, started her career as an industrial designer with TATA Johnson Controls, a TATA Group company. She was the principal designer for TATA Indica seats.
She has experience of more than 11 years practising active product design creating products with a meaningful difference. She is passionate about developing new applications for materials and technology. She has applied design research to create new innovative products for several leading Indian and multinational product companies like, Siemens, Bluestar, GE, TATA Motors and Whirlpool.Her methods and skills of analyzing design thinking has led to the design of a very successful design sensitisation program module on ideation techniques with more than 400 people trained.
She has also advised leading companies on design sensitization for their core teams and conducted programs to boost creativity and innovation within the firm.
